Echo Cancellation & Avoiding Volume Ducking

In the Green Room or a Studio Session, there is a question "Wearing Headphones?" with a toggle button in the equipment list/menu.

The purpose of this question is to give you the most control and options when recording your show.

Wearing Headphones (toggle to the right)

We recommend wearing headphones to ensure the highest quality audio in your recordings because audio quality will not be affected or compressed.

This question should be answered for each individual participant.

Not Wearing Headphones (toggle to the left)

Sometimes you or your guest/co-host will not have headphones available. We recommend setting the toggle to off (left) if you ever find yourself in this situation.

This setting enables Echo Cancellation, which allows you to record without introducing an echo/feedback loop into your conversation and the recordings.

The disadvantage of this setting is that volume ducking may occur in the recordings.
